A countryside heritage retreat in Rajasthan especially perfect for horse lovers!

Jaipur is one of the places probably 100% of Delhi NCR folks have been to and its proximity makes it a great candidate for weekend vacations. So just about 30 mins before you hit the hustle bustle of Jaipur and a convenient 4.30 hours from Delhi lies Khas Bagh - a farm retreat tucked away in the Aravalli hills and a stone's throw from the majestic 12th century Amer Fort.

This Rajput home stay is built on the lines of a haveli with open verandahs, sprawling lawns, intricately carved stone pillars and jaalis - all handcrafted by local artisans. Rooms are luxurious with their rich antique furniture and the property has a stunning sandstone swimming pool, terrace overlooking the hills and even has an old style polo lounge with black and white family photographs. But what truly makes it special is the love for everything equestrian which strikes you the minute you enter. Stables with horses create an authentic country holiday backdrop unlike any other. Serves Rajasthani specialities and they have their own organic kitchen garden where they grow vegetables in the true Farm to table style.

Things to do: Lounge by the pool, laze in the garden, drive by and visit the Amer and Jaigarh fort, Enjoy the company of your furry friend (the property is pet friendly), Ask the host who is a professional polo player for lessons and he is happy to indulge at the Ram Bagh polo club, cycle around to the nearby villages and just feel the slow pace - so so different from the usual Jaipur you are used to or end your day with a relaxing massage (the latter, not really ideal for these covid affected times :)), Enjoy a BBQ with a bonfire perfect for the winters.
