Cozy forest lodge amidst orchards in the sleepy town of Mukteshwar!

8.30 hours from Delhi, nestled in the temple town of Mukteshwar with its orchards and terraced fields lies 'Oak Chalet' - a quiet, cozy eco lodge which is a fine blend of traditional Kumaoni architecture and modern comforts.

They have four rooms each is spacious and has its own private entrance and stunning views. You can wake up to see the sunrise and Himalayan peaks and gaze at the clear night sky sitting in front of your outdoor barbeque and bonfire. A good place for a 'do nothing' plan too - has lots of reading material from history to literature to philosophy and games like carrom. Other things to do include long mountain walks, forest hikes, temple and village visits and encounters with Himalayan deers, langurs and birds. If you're more adventurous and want to go rock climbing or rapelling the team is happy to arrange that too. Meals are simple but delicious, cooked with locally grown organic produce.
